Wooden Board Care and Maintenance

Life’s A Banquet’s camphor laurel boards are easy to care for but we know you want to look after your wooden chopping boards and platters, so we’ve put together some easy tips to make sure you keep your board in the best shape it can be.

Every day care:  After use just wipe your wooden board over with a damp cloth and mild detergent, allow to air dry.

Once a year:  Pour salt on the board and then scrub with a half of lemon. Wipe off salt with a damp cloth and allow to air dry. Once your wooden board is dry drizzle over with grapeseed oil and spread over entire surface, allow your board to soak up oil overnight and then wipe off excess grapeseed oil the next day.

 

Once every 3-5 years: Bring it back to Life’s A Banquet Boards for a rejuvenation treatment which includes sanding, reshaping and reapplying a fresh coat of oil to bring it back to it’s former glory.
